Avengers: Doomsday – Fantastic Four Post-Credits Scene Follow-Up Leaks

The continuation of the Fantastic Four: First Steps post-credits scene that will appear in Avengers: Doomsday is not what fans are expecting.

The character Victor von Doom, also known as Doctor Doom, portrayed by Robert Downey Jr., who will serve as the main villain in Avengers: Doomsday, made his first appearance in the post-credits scene of The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

Although Doom is not shown clearly and does not speak or commit any overtly villainous act, the ominous tone of the scene effectively sets the stage for him as Marvel’s next major antagonist.

The post-credits scene shows Sue Storm, the Invisible Woman, played by Vanessa Kirby, returning from the kitchen to the living room, where she had been moments earlier with her son Franklin Richards, only to find Doctor Doom interacting with him.

Franklin, a small but immensely powerful four-year-old, is seen touching Victor von Doom’s face, which remains off-screen, while the villain holds his iconic mask.

Several theories suggest that Franklin may have been healing Doom’s scars, amplifying his powers, or even having his abilities siphoned away by Downey Jr.’s character.

For now, it is impossible to say exactly what happened between Doom and young Franklin. However, a new rumor has emerged about what follows this post-credits scene from The Fantastic Four.

Continuation of The Fantastic Four post-credits scene

According to insider and filmmaker Robert Meyer Burnett, via Austin Medeiros, Doom and Sue Storm are initially friends in Avengers: Doomsday.

Burnett claims that when Doom arrives at the Baxter Building to see Franklin, Sue is not surprised by his presence because they already have a prior relationship. As a result, viewers should not expect an early confrontation or major clash between Doctor Doom and the Invisible Woman at the beginning of Avengers 5.

This rumor aligns with other leaks and theories suggesting that Doom will not start out as a villain in Doomsday. Instead, he is reportedly attempting to save the Fantastic Four’s universe from destruction caused by Multiversal incursions.

However, Doom ultimately becomes corrupted as he pushes himself to extreme lengths in order to prevent the collapse of his world.

In other words, the new Avengers film promises multiple major twists and turns. Anticipation continues to build.

Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to hit theaters on December 18.
