Marvel Studios has taken an unusual route to promote Avengers: Doomsday. Instead of releasing a single trailer, the studio created four different versions, shown only in theaters before screenings of Avatar: Fire and Ash.

Each week brings a new video. Moviegoers who attended during opening week saw one exclusive preview. In the following week, that footage is completely replaced. This rotation continues until the fourth trailer, always offering something new for audiences in theaters.

The first trailer focused on Steve Rogers and confirmed Chris Evans’ return to the role. Despite the theater only plan, recordings of the footage eventually surfaced online, which was largely expected.

Recent reports now indicate that the second trailer has already been delivered to theaters. According to the Cryptic account, this new preview highlights the return of Thor. The file was sent to exhibitors under seal, with strict rules on how it can be shown. It is expected to start playing from Wednesday onward.

As the footage on screens changes, the likelihood of new leaks appearing online increases, repeating what happened during the first week.

Who Is Expected to Be the Focus of the Final Trailer?

The rollout continues with two more trailers. While there is no official confirmation, reports suggest each preview will center on a key character from the story. The third trailer is expected to focus on Loki, played by Tom Hiddleston.

The fourth and final trailer should close the cycle by introducing the film’s main villain. The expectation is for the first clear look at Doctor Doom, portrayed by Robert Downey Jr.

This weekly release model keeps the movie in constant focus and turns each trip to the theater into a different experience for Marvel fans.
