Avengers: Doomsday Trailer Would Premiere Today (11) on the Internet

With the trailer for The Devil Wears Prada 2 released today (12) by Disney, it is believed that this would have been the trailer date for Avengers: Doomsday.

Avengers: Doomsday Trailer Would Premiere Today (11) on the Internet

Disney released the official trailer for The Devil Wears Prada 2 online today, November 12. This release has sparked a major, bittersweet theory among Marvel fans regarding the marketing timeline for Avengers: Doomsday.

Fans on social media are theorizing that if Doomsday had kept its original release date, today would have been the day its first trailer was released.

The Great 2026 Date Swap

Initially, Avengers: Doomsday was scheduled to premiere on April 30, 2026. As fans know, the film was eventually delayed until its current date of December 17, 2026.

When Marvel Studios moved Doomsday out of the spring slot, Disney quickly filled that highly desirable date with the anticipated sequel, The Devil Wears Prada 2.

Because the Prada 2 trailer dropped today (November 12), fans are convinced this date was the original marketing slot saved for Avengers: Doomsday. The timing fits, as a November trailer release aligns perfectly with a late April film premiere.

The Real Wait Begins

This theory highlights how the studio’s scheduling shifts impact the entire promotional calendar. Fans must now wait a little longer for the real trailer.

The first trailer for Avengers: Doomsday is now widely expected to debut sometime in December 2025.
