According to the latest rumors, the most likely candidate to make an appearance is Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man. In fact, a leaked image circulating online has already fueled speculation among fans.

While details about this alternate Spider-Man’s role remain under wraps, fans are already excited to see how Marvel will integrate him into the multiverse storyline. His appearance could open the door for other Spider-Verse heroes to join the Avengers in future films.

Why Tom Holland won’t appear in Avengers 5

The main reason behind Holland’s absence seems to be a scheduling conflict. When production on Avengers: Doomsday began, the actor was busy filming The Odyssey, the upcoming movie directed by Christopher Nolan.

Shortly after that project, Holland jumped straight into production on Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which is set to hit theaters in 2026 — meaning fans will still see him return as Peter Parker soon enough.

The good news is that, according to the journalist Daniel Richtman, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will play a major role in Avengers: Secret Wars, currently slated for a 2027 release.
