Avengers: Secret Wars – Revealed When Filming For The Movie Will Begin
Filming for Avengers: Secret Wars finally has a start date - find out more.

Avengers: Secret Wars is scheduled to premiere in December 2027 and will be the film that concludes Marvel’s Multiverse Saga, which began in 2021 with WandaVision.
In other words, there are currently almost two years left until the film’s premiere. However, Marvel will release the first part, Avengers: Doomsday, on December 18 of this year.
In short, there are a lot of Avengers on the way. The Russo Brothers, directors of Infinity War and Endgame, have returned to helm both films. However, one strategy has changed.
Avengers: Secret Wars has a start date!
Infinity War (2018) and Endgame (2019) were two films shot simultaneously. That is, Marvel was filming two different movies at the same time.
Most of the time, productions adopt this strategy to save time. But this time, Marvel and directors the Russo Brothers have decided to take a different path.
Filming for the first part, Avengers: Doomsday, began in April 2025, one year and eight months before the film’s scheduled premiere. That is enough time to finish the film in post-production. But what about Avengers: Secret Wars?
Journalist Daniel Richtman has just revealed that the next film will begin filming in August. Therefore, 1 year and 4 months before its premiere in December 2027.
It is also enough time for Marvel to finish the film’s post-production; after all, several of the studio’s productions have started shooting with less than a year to go.
