Avengers: Secret Wars Will Feature a Shocking Time Jump After Doomsday

The time jump from Avengers: Doomsday to Avengers: Secret Wars will be greater than the time gap between Infinity War and Endgame.

Just as happened with Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, there will be a significant time gap between Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.

But while a long five years passed between Avengers 3 and 4, the time jump between Avengers 5 and 6 is expected to be even greater.

According to insider MAJESTIC_ucm (via Marvel Update), Secret Wars will take place an impressive eight years after the events of Doomsday.

He also reaffirmed a rumor that is already circulating: the film will explore Doctor Doom’s (Robert Downey Jr.) rise to power over Reed Richards’ (Pedro Pascal) family, with Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby) as his wife and Franklin and Valeria as his children.

Will eight years pass for all the heroes who survive Doomsday?

Most likely, this eight-year jump will apply to Doctor Doom, his new family, and the remaining inhabitants of Battleworld – the artificial planet created by Victor von Doom, made from fragments of destroyed universes and serving as the new Earth.

The superheroes who will be part of the resistance, such as Spider-Man (Tom Holland), Spider-Man (Tobey Maguire), Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds), and some other survivors, are expected to be unaffected by the passage of time inside the Lifeboat.

The Lifeboat is a vessel created by Mister Fantastic (Pascal) to protect heroes from the collapse of the Multiverse, keeping its occupants in stasis. While Battleworld already exists under Doctor Doom’s rule, for those inside the Lifeboat, almost no time seems to have passed.

In any case, with this massive multiversal chaos and such a long passage of time, it will certainly not be possible for the world to return to normal as it did at the end of Endgame. In other words, a reboot of the MCU is more than a safe bet.

Which heroes will still exist by the end of Secret Wars? We do not know yet, but we will get a definitive answer when the film is released on December 17, 2027 in theaters.

Before that, of course, Avengers: Doomsday is set to premiere this year, on December 17, in theaters.
