The brand-new Fantastic Four movie has a hidden online surprise that Marvel fans are freaking out about! Didn’t catch it yet?

The brand-new Fantastic Four movie has a hidden online surprise that Marvel fans are freaking out about! Didn’t catch it yet? No worries — we’ll walk you through everything.
Before its debut on Disney+, Marvel made Fantastic Four: First Steps available on digital platforms for purchase and rental. That means fans who skipped the theater run finally got the chance to enjoy the movie from their couch at home. But here’s the kicker: the digital version comes with a secret extra scene.
Anyone who watches the movie digitally will notice something unexpected after the final post-credit moment. Instead of fading out completely, the screen flashes a message. Check it below.
Fantastic Four: What’s up with the QR Code in the post-credits?
“The Future Foundation extends its thanks” — right next to a QR CODE.

So, what happens if you scan it? Well, if you’d rather find out on your own, you might want to stop reading now. For everyone else: the QR code sends you to an official Marvel page loaded with classic Fantastic Four comics that you can read online for FREE.
Pretty cool, right? Since the movie pays so much tribute to the original stories, it makes perfect sense that Marvel would go the extra mile to get fans — especially new ones — into the comics themselves.
Among the free issues are some absolute gems: #1, #48, #49, and #50 from the original 1961 run, which famously introduced Galactus and the Silver Surfer.
On top of that, you’ll also find more recent highlights like issue #570 from the 1998 run, MYTHOS: Fantastic Four, and the 2007 #1 relaunch. Rounding it out are issue #1 of History of the Marvel Universe (2018) and Fantastic Four: Life Story (2021). Basically, Marvel just dropped a treasure chest of comics for fans to dive into.
And one last note: the film still doesn’t have an official release date for Disney+. However, since it’s already available for digital purchase and rental, chances are we won’t be waiting long until it lands on the streaming service.
