The theatrical run for Fantastic Four: First Steps has officially ended, and despite a box office performance that some analysts considered underwhelming, the film has secured two significant records.

The movie concluded its run earning over $521 million at the worldwide box office. This global haul was enough to cement the film’s success in the Marvel history books, setting a new benchmark for the franchise.

Highest-Grossing Fantastic Four Film

The $521 million global total makes Fantastic Four: First Steps the highest-grossing Fantastic Four film ever made. It has surpassed all previous live-action iterations of the team, solidifying the new Marvel Cinematic Universe version as the most commercially successful adaptation of Marvel’s first family.

The film also achieved another major milestone. Earning over $521 million, Fantastic Four: First Steps has been crowned the highest-grossing MCU film of 2025.

This means the reboot outperformed the other major Marvel Studios releases this year, including Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts*, making it the studio’s biggest earner of the year.
