Before its debut on Disney+, Marvel made Fantastic Four: First Steps available on digital platforms for purchase and rental. That means fans who skipped the theater run finally got the chance to enjoy the movie from their couch at home. But here’s the kicker: the digital version comes with a secret extra scene. Anyone who watches the movie digitally will notice something unexpected after the final post-credit moment. Instead of fading out completely, the screen flashes a message. Check it below. Fantastic Four: What’s up with the QR Code in the post-credits? “The Future Foundation extends its thanks” — right next to a QR CODE. So, what happens if you scan it? Well, if you’d rather find out on your own, you might want to stop reading now. For everyone else: the QR code sends you to an official Marvel page loaded with classic Fantastic Four comics that you can read online for FREE. Pretty cool, right? Since the movie pays so much tribute to the original stories, it makes perfect sense that Marvel would go the extra mile to get fans — especially new ones — into the comics themselves.
