Insider MyTimeToShineHello has revealed what fans might be able to expect from the return of Clint Barton and Kate Bishop.
The new information points to a high-stakes, self-contained story that introduces a major new character from Clint Barton’s complicated family past.
Clint’s Brother Takes a Major Role
According to the insider, the second season of the series will heavily feature Clint’s brother, Barney Barton. In the comics, Barney (who also takes the mantle of Trickshot) has a deeply complex and often antagonistic relationship with his Avenger brother.
His introduction would bring a personal, high-stakes threat directly to Clint, forcing him to confront a past he has long kept hidden from his family and Kate Bishop.
The most exciting detail from the rumor concerns the structural inspiration for the new season. MyTimeToShineHello claims the series will be “inspired by The Raid”, the iconic, non-stop Indonesian action film.
This inspiration will reportedly translate into a high-octane plot where Kate and Clint are stuck in one single location. This contained-thriller format would see the two archers forced to fight their way out against overwhelming odds, a significant and intense stylistic shift for a Marvel Studios production.
