Jonathan Majors teases his return as Kang: 'I cannot say anything'

The subject of Kang the Conqueror and the potential return of actor Jonathan Majors remains one of the biggest unknowns hanging over the Multiverse Saga.

When recently asked directly if he will reprise his role as the titular villain, Majors kept his cards close to his chest, offering a brief but telling response.

The actor stated simply, “I cannot say anything about that.”

The Multiverse Keeps the Door Open

Majors immediately followed up his non-answer by alluding to the very nature of the current Marvel narrative: “It’s a multiverse, so there’s always that.”

This comment acknowledges the central reason why the character’s future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe remains perpetually open for debate, regardless of any current developments.

In a storyline built on infinite realities and variants, the concept of a character being permanently removed is essentially nonexistent. Although the main villain for Avengers: Doomsday has shifted to Doctor Doom, the overarching “Multiverse Saga” hinges on the threat of Kang, or at least his powerful legacy, which was established across several series and films.

Majors’ hint serves as a reminder that the character’s story is far from complete within the vast landscape of parallel universes. The biggest question for fans remains whether Marvel Studios will bring back the actor or introduce a new variant with a new face when Kang inevitably returns to threaten the timeline, possibly in the final film, Avengers: Secret Wars.

Given that Doctor Doom is the rumored villain for the next Avengers film, how do you think Kang’s return could impact the finale of the Multiverse Saga?

I've been in love with Marvel since I watched Iron Man 2 in the theaters. Since 2010, I started reading, watching, playing, and discussing everything involving Marvel. The love was so deep that I always wanted to share it with other people, and that's why I created Legado da Marvel in 2017.
