The Batman Co-Writer ‘Trying’ to Pitch a Spider-Man 4 with Tobey Maguire
In an interview, The Batman screenwriter revealed he is trying to talk to Sam Raimi for an idea for Spider-Man 4 with Tobey Maguire.

The fervent demand from Marvel fans for a proper Spider-Man 4, starring Tobey Maguire and directed by Sam Raimi, has been reignited, not by Sony or Marvel, but by an unlikely voice from the competition.
Mattson Tomlin, co-writer for The Batman: Part 2, recently confirmed he is “trying” to establish contact with director Sam Raimi about making or writing the long-desired fourth film in that series.
This informal declaration has sent a major tremor through the fanbase, as Tomlin previously shared a clear vision for the story he would write.
Spider-Man 4 with Tobey Maguire and Sam Raimi is coming?
Tomlin has previously stated that the writer’s main interest in the project would be to develop a narrative where Tobey Maguire’s Peter Parker is juggling between being a husband and a father.
This is a powerful new direction for Spider-Man, a character often defined by his youthful struggles.
The writer’s pitch centers on the idea of Peter Parker balancing the monumental responsibilities of parenthood with the relentless duties of a superhero.
It is a mature perspective, diverging from the focus on high school or college life seen in most modern iterations.
Why the Hype is Real
Following Maguire’s widely celebrated return in Spider-Man: No Way Home, the door for a continuation of his story, or an Amazing Spider-Man 3, has been left open in the Multiverse.
However, Spider-Man 4 remains a legendary “what if” scenario for fans, especially after the original project was canceled following Spider-Man 3.
Mattson Tomlin’s interest in exploring the theme of Peter Parker as a father resonates deeply because it would offer a natural and compelling evolution for the hero. Fans believe this storyline provides the perfect, heartfelt epilogue to the trilogy.
Despite the enthusiasm, Sony and Marvel Studios have not officially confirmed any plans for the Raimi Spider-Man 4. Tomlin’s attempts to reach Raimi are currently only a passionate pursuit from a high-profile industry figure, but that alone is enough to keep the hopes of fans alive and swinging.
The community is now closely watching to see if the co-writer for The Batman: Part 2 can actually spark the return of the original webslinger and his director.
