The Worst Marvel Movie Is Finally Coming Soon to Disney+
This highly criticized Marvel film will soon arrive on Disney+ — find out which one it is.

Marvel keeps flooding theaters with new releases every year, and Disney+ now serves as the main streaming hub for almost every Marvel production.
However, not every title has captured fans’ hearts. Alongside massive hits like Avengers: Endgame and Guardians of the Galaxy, some movies completely failed to impress audiences or critics. The Marvel brand includes unforgettable triumphs — and a few painful flops.
A major Marvel disaster is heading to Disney+!
Among all those failures, one film stands out as the worst of them all. Fans often call it the lowest point in Marvel’s cinematic history — and they’re not wrong.
The movie in question is Madame Web, released in 2024. Despite a star-studded cast, the film bombed both critically and financially. It earned a shocking 9% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and lost millions for Sony.
After more than a year, Madame Web finally joins Disney+ in the United States on November 14, marking its debut one year and nine months after hitting theaters.
Why did Madame Web crash so hard?
On paper, Madame Web had everything to succeed. The cast featured Dakota Johnson and Sydney Sweeney, two of Hollywood’s biggest rising names. The story aimed to expand Sony’s Spider-Man universe.
Instead, the script fell apart. The writers behind Morbius delivered another flat, uninspired story with no energy or emotional pull. The movie also avoided any real link to Spider-Man, frustrating longtime fans.
In the end, Madame Web showed that big names and flashy effects can’t save a weak script. Marvel and Sony may want to study this failure closely — because audiences certainly remember it.
Many fans still hope Sony will eventually redeem Madame Web’s characters in future projects. Some even speculate that Dakota Johnson or Sydney Sweeney could return in a multiverse storyline, giving their roles a second chance. Whether that happens or not, Madame Web remains a reminder that even Marvel’s biggest brands can stumble when story and vision don’t align.
