It Was Wild&#8221;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Tatum explained that the project truly went for the higher age rating, noting: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cIt was an R-rated romantic comedy. And when I say <strong>Rated R<\/strong>, I mean we went for it.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The actor detailed that their vision of Gambit was a character who could only exist tonally next to Deadpool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The script reportedly featured a level of mature content Disney and Marvel Studios would never approve. <strong>\u201cWe had mutants having sex!
