Internet Explodes Over Reported Role for Stranger Things Actor in Marvel

Rumor about the arrival of actor Caleb McLaughlin, from the series Stranger Things, in the Marvel universe goes viral on X (formerly Twitter).

A simple rumor blew up this Sunday (25) on the social network X (formerly Twitter). Although the information does not come from a reliable source, platform users did not take that into account and went wild over the gossip.

The rumor, shared by the account Spider-News and already exceeding 700,000 views, claims that actor Caleb McLaughlin is in talks with Marvel Studios “for an important role in the next MCU saga.”

The post also suggested that the role in question for the Stranger Things star would be Miles Morales’ Spider-Man.

Rumor reaches the trending topics

The rumor quickly took over X, especially in the United States, where Caleb’s name even made it into the platform’s trending topics.

Public approval was strong. Many users said Caleb is “the most obvious casting choice Marvel could make,” adding that the actor “has the look, the talent,” and is beloved by fans of the character.

However, some users were not pleased with the idea, arguing that the actor is not Latino like Miles.

In any case, it is important to emphasize that this is not a very reliable rumor, even though it has surprisingly gone very viral on X.

Miles Morales’ presence in the MCU has been gaining traction over time. Other recent rumors suggest that Marvel may introduce Miles Morales in Avengers: Secret Wars or at the beginning of the franchise’s next saga. Nothing has been confirmed either.

Avengers: Secret Wars is set to be released in theaters on December 17, 2027.

Before that, Spider-Man: Brand New Day premieres in United States theaters on July 31. Perhaps there could be some reference—or even an appearance by Miles Morales—in the film.
