Marvel Plans to Bring Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Street-Level Heroes Together in a Crossover Film
A crossover film featuring Marvel’s street-level heroes will show vigilantes fighting against Wilson Fisk, Kingpin, and his henchmen.

Marvel Studios appears to be putting the pieces together for something longtime fans have always wanted to see on the big screen: a movie that brings New York’s street-level heroes together in a single story.
According to insider Alex Perez from The Cosmic Circus, the studio is developing a film that would unite Spider-Man, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and the Punisher against a shared threat.
The project has not yet been officially confirmed by Marvel, but the narrative groundwork has been taking shape for some time — and understanding that context helps clarify what this film could represent for the MCU.
The narrative thread: the Devil’s Reign saga
The starting point for this crossover would be the conclusion of a storyline that has been unfolding since the Hawkeye series, when Wilson Fisk — Kingpin, portrayed by Vincent D’Onofrio — reappeared in the MCU with political ambitions and growing influence over New York City.
Since then, Fisk’s presence has expanded across Marvel’s Disney+ projects, with Daredevil: Born Again serving as the central pillar of this narrative. According to Perez, the idea is for the film to loosely adapt the comic book arc known as Devil’s Reign, in which Kingpin establishes an authoritarian regime targeting vigilantes throughout the city.
In this scenario, New York’s street-level heroes — each affected in different ways by Fisk’s rule — would be forced to join forces to bring down his regime in a decisive confrontation.
This would not be a cosmic or multiversal threat, but something firmly grounded, giving the film a very different tone from the traditional Avengers movies.
Why Spider-Man changes everything
One particularly important detail is the role of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in the project. According to Perez, the character’s presence would be the deciding factor in giving the film a theatrical release rather than limiting it to Disney+.
This makes sense both commercially and narratively. Spider-Man is, by far, the most popular hero among Marvel’s street-level characters, and his involvement would significantly broaden the project’s appeal to general audiences.
At the same time, Peter Parker has always been a neighborhood hero — someone who deals with street crime as much as large-scale villains. Placing him alongside Matt Murdock and the Defenders would be a natural fit.
What to watch for in the coming months
If the project is truly moving forward, upcoming Marvel releases should start offering clues. The second season of Daredevil: Born Again, which premieres on March 27 on Disney+, is the most likely place for the Devil’s Reign arc to gain momentum.
Any mention of an alliance among vigilantes or an escalation in the conflict between Fisk and the heroes could signal that the studio is laying the groundwork.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day also deserves close attention. If the film includes references to New York’s criminal underworld or connections to characters like Daredevil and the Punisher, it will be hard to ignore that something bigger is being built.
What this means for the future of the MCU
Marvel has increasingly invested in stories that are tightly interconnected between film and streaming, and a crossover movie focused on street-level heroes would be the most ambitious realization of that strategy so far.
Unlike the Avengers, who bring together heroes from different corners of the universe, this project would unite characters who share the same territory — the streets of New York — and whose stories are already deeply intertwined.
If confirmed, the film would also represent a renewed appreciation for the characters that originated in the Netflix series and were later reintegrated into the MCU, something a significant portion of fans has been asking for for years.
More than a nostalgic move, it would acknowledge that smaller, more visceral, street-focused stories have a legitimate place in theaters.
For now, everything remains in the realm of rumors. But considering Marvel’s recent trajectory and the projects already announced for 2025 and beyond — including Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars — the idea of a film bringing together New York’s street-level heroes no longer feels far-fetched.
