Avengers: Secret Wars — Mark Ruffalo Drops Major Spoiler

Mark Ruffalo, known for playing the Hulk, has revealed a major spoiler for Avengers: Secret Wars. The actor’s comment also contains a spoiler related to Doomsday.

Mark Ruffalo drew attention from Marvel fans again after letting slip an important detail about the future of the Avengers. Not long after denying rumors that he had been fired by Disney, the actor unintentionally revealed information tied directly to the team’s sixth film.

The comment came during an interview with BuzzFeed UK, where Ruffalo was promoting the thriller Crime 101 alongside Chris Hemsworth and Halle Berry. The exchange seemed straightforward. The actors were asked how many superhero projects each of them had been part of.

Hemsworth started counting on a small board. Before he could finish, Ruffalo answered for him and said “six.” The number caught his co-star off guard. Hemsworth asked if he had heard correctly. Ruffalo then added that there would be more.

Hemsworth played along and noted that the project in question had not even been filmed yet. The brief exchange was enough for many to interpret the remark as indirect confirmation that Thor will appear in Avengers: Secret Wars.

What the comment suggests about the heroes’ future

Although Hemsworth has appeared in more than six productions within the genre, the response seems to have considered only the core Avengers films. Within that scope, the number matches the total planned through Secret Wars.

In practical terms, this suggests that the God of Thunder is expected to make it through the events of Avengers: Doomsday, the saga’s fifth chapter. There had been rumors that the film might be Hemsworth’s final outing as Thor. His comment makes that outcome seem less likely.

The interview offered another revealing detail. By stating that the movie has not yet been shot, Hemsworth also confirmed Ruffalo’s involvement in the production. The remark helps put to rest speculation about a possible departure for the actor behind the Hulk.

There is no indication that Marvel Studios approved this kind of early disclosure. Even so, for those who follow the franchise closely, the exchange between the actors was received as a quiet relief.
