Black Panther 3: Ryan Coogler Confirms It Is His Next Film

Director Ryan Coogler has officially confirmed that Black Panther 3 will be his next movie. The confirmation came during a new interview with Deadline (via Discussing Film), ending speculation about the director’s immediate schedule.

Following the massive critical and box office success of his film Sinners this year, the director’s return to Marvel to complete the Black Panther trilogy was highly anticipated.

A Post-Secret Wars Sequel

The film does not yet have an official release date. However, considering the current Marvel Studios calendar, Black Panther 3 is expected to premiere in 2028 or later.

This timeline is significant, as it places the film’s release after the events of Avengers: Secret Wars, which premieres in December 2027. This confirms Black Panther 3 will be one of the first films to help launch the new Marvel Cinematic Universe saga, set in a post-multiversal landscape.

The Return of T’Challa?

Coogler’s confirmation immediately brings the biggest rumor surrounding the sequel back into focus. With the film set in a new saga, fans are openly speculating about the future of the mantle.

I've been in love with Marvel since I watched Iron Man 2 in the theaters. Since 2010, I started reading, watching, playing, and discussing everything involving Marvel. The love was so deep that I always wanted to share it with other people, and that's why I created Legado da Marvel in 2017.
