Will Wonder Man Get a Season 2?

All episodes of Wonder Man are now available on Disney+, but many fans are already asking: will the Marvel series get a second season?

The series follows Simon Williams and Trevor Slattery, the fake Mandarin from Iron Man 3, as they pursue roles in a feature film about the hero Wonder Man.

By the end of the show, Simon frees Trevor from prison and reveals his powers to the world, including his first on-screen flight. The finale wraps up the main storyline but leaves the future of the characters open.

Will Wonder Man get a second season?

Because of this open ending, fans have already begun speculating about the possibility of a second season. As of the time this article was published, there is no official information confirming a renewal.

However, when asked about it by The Direct, series co-creator Andrew Guest revealed that ideas for a potential second season have already been discussed between him and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, who plays Simon Williams.

Even though the finale seems to suggest that Simon’s powers are revealed to the world, the producer explained that this situation could easily be covered up by the Department of Damage Control, preventing the public from finding out. Here is what he said:

“If we had the opportunity, I’ve already thought a bit about what could happen next for Simon Williams. One thing that came up as we were nearing the end of filming the finale was that Yahya turned to me one day and said, ‘So Simon can’t act anymore.’ And I was like, ‘What are you talking about?’ And he said, ‘Well, Damage Control knows he has superpowers.’ And I said, ‘Yes, Damage Control knows, but maybe they don’t want everyone else to know. Maybe there’s some kind of deal to be made between Simon and Damage Control, where there’s a bit of a trade-off.’ Given the opportunity, we could definitely find a way to resolve that situation.”
